Cellulite

For many women, cellulite is an increase in volume of very specific areas of the body. These areas are unsightly.

The increase in volume is due to poor functioning of the blood and lymphatic vessels whose role is to nourish and purify the hypodermis.

Liquids and waste products become trapped, thus affecting the normal activity of the fat cells causing them to increase in size.

On increasing in size, they compress the surrounding areas, including the blood and lymph vessels, reducing circulatory efficiency and thus multiplying the process.

Thus cellulite, once begun, spirals rapidly.
The swollen cells impede the flow of blood and toxins; these are not eliminated from the tissues causing the cells to swell more, due to lack of drainage.

It can be seen that cellulite is a process of intoxication.

Celulitis

"Cellulite" is the common term, coined in 1816 by Dr. W. Balfour to define a condition he believed was produced by the inflammation of the cellular tissue of the skin.

Today, the conditions has several denominations. The most accurate medical definitions include the fatty, vascular oedematous and fibrous conditions of the hypodermis: "dermatopaniculosis vasculopatica", "paniculopatía oedematous fibroesclerotica", "paniculopatía fibroedematosclerotica".

Other terms, such as "lipodistrofia", "dermopanniculosis adiposus", "status protusis cutis", "dermopanniculosis deformans", "fibrogeloide" are also in use....

There are also many popular terms for cellulite according to its position on the body, such as “orange peel skin”, “holsters” and similar "...
Despite the definition given by Dr. W. Balfour, "cellulite is not an inflammatory process..
